8.23.11--no more summer.

Well, school is in full swing! I seem to have a good group of students and am looking forward to the year and all of our upcoming projects...though I'm a little nervous, too.  I'll be sure to post pictures of our progress. Our first big project-Homecoming-is due on September 29th. I have lots of ideas-but not sure if my eyes are bigger than my budget. We'll see...In the pic below, my kiddos are working on their team building skills--with leggos! It seemed to be a great project for them and took the whole class period. Fantastic!

I haven't gotten to visit sweet Deacon man since he left the hospital because I came down with a nasty cold and I wasn't going anywhere near him with any sniffles!! Good thing his mama sends me pictures on a regular basis! =) In the picture directly below, I made his mama put his "zero month" sticker on his onesie and send me the picture. He has a sticker for each month up to 12  months, thanks to his Aunt Shay. And...she will make sure his mama takes his picture with each sticker, too! Even if it is just sent to her phone. ;)

He looks JUST LIKE HIS DADDY. Mrs. G sent me this pic--just so excited that he is "starting to look like her, too." Well, while I have NO DOUBT that Deac is her little man, I just still see all Bobby. ;)

I just had my first kickball game of the fall season and we are looking forward to football season...and everything else that Fall 2011 may have to offer! There may just be some changes blowin' in the wind...hopefully, if anything, some cooler weather!! :)

Oh my. A month later. I do not know what is happening with me and my blogging skills. I hope I still have some people checking in, if not, I still look at this as a fantabulous journal. :)

Tim and I took a quick trip to the beach in July, I'll post the few pics I actually remembered to take when I'm on my computer. The BIG news...bestie, Mrs. G, had her perfect prince on Sunday, August 7. He is PERFECT. I love my little Deacon, even though, at one day, he's already arguing with me. ;)

Born 8/7/11 at 1:59pm. 7 lbs., 2 oz, 20.5" long. I can't describe to you the joy that I have had for my friends and for myself. I now unofficially consider myself blessed enough to be an aunt to three boys and three girls. :) I love this family so much and am so thrilled that I got to be there for so much of this joyous occasion. Welcome to the world my sweet Deacon boy. I love you more than you know!!

I reported back to school on Monday, Aug. 8 So...it begins. This week has been full of professional development...so I am really looking forward to seeing my kids on Monday! Here's to a fantastic 2011-12 school year!! Yay!
