9 months
I could start every "month-day" post with "where oh where has the time gone??!?!" You blink and the boy is not just a day older, but a MONTH older. Now that I have Aunt V's baby shower out of the way, I have started planning baby boy's FIRST birthday party.
He's apx. 19.5 lbs., we go for his 9 month checkup on Friday, so I'll update with official measurements then. We're thinking he has his mommy and daddy's metabolism--which means he'll it us out of house and home by the time he's TWO!! There isn't anything he doesn't eat (literally, anything...we have to pull leaves and oak flowers out of his mouth far too often). He's a big, big boy, eating hot dogs, chicken, rice, couscous, fruits, avocado, bacon (yum!! bacon is serious!!). We add a little each day. We've started eating dinner together as a family at the dinner table. Jack gets to try a little bit from mommy's plate if her food isn't too spicy. Looks like all the baby food in the pantry will go to our sweet baby Mac when he's ready for it. Baby food is no longer on Jack's agenda. ;)
He LOVES to dance. He dances at meal times, he dances at play time, he dances just to dance. Of course, I adore that!! Mickey Mouse is his "binky" (he has to have him in the crib and he snuggles with him). He loves to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the tv and of course, dance to Hot Diggity Dog.
He's still army crawling, I really don't think he'll ever officially crawl. He pulls up on everything and can now stand on his own. He walks with a walker or the activity table but also FALLS, usually face first, A LOT. It stresses mommy and daddy out. He currently has a huge goose egg on his head. Last week it was a black eye. Seriously breaks my heart because it just happens so fast. All I want to do is protect him, then the little stinker kerplunks!
He's telling us "buh-bye" while waving and has said "hey dada" and "ma ma," but he just teases us with those. ;)
If we could just get him to sleep (which, he's decided to forego afternoon naps most days and is now staying up til about 8 at night). He will sleep through til about 6:30 or 7 most nights, but still has nights where he wakes up at 2 or 3. He's teething pretty bad though, so hopefully once they cut, we'll get back to full nights' sleep.
Ty Ty is his favorite. He plays ball with Ty and loves to follow Ty where ever he goes. Ty is so very patient with him, lets him crawl all over him and squeal in his face.
My heart melts with his smiles, hugs and kisses. He's a very busy boy and doesn't really have time to snuggle, but he gives the best hugs and kisses. I get through each day at work just knowing I get to go pick up that smiling face. He's such a happy baby. People love to be around him, he smiles and dances and laughs and squeals. I love every inch of that little boy! I know he's going to grow up to be such an amazing person and I just look forward to what every day has to bring us.
